Terms of Service
Last updated 15 October 2026.
These terms cover your use of ForOps, maintenance management software offered by ForOps LLC (“we”). By creating an account, or by using an account someone created for you, you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are allowed to.
The service
ForOps lets an organisation record its equipment, raise and assign work orders, run inspections, track downtime and parts, and keep a history of what was done. We provide it over the internet. We may change how it works as we improve it; we will not remove something you depend on without telling account administrators first.
Accounts
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for keeping your password to yourself. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has it.
- An organisation is responsible for the people it invites, including making sure they should have access to what their role can see.
- Account information must be accurate — in particular, an email address that reaches the person, since that is how password resets and invitations work.
- ForOps is workplace software and is not for anyone under 16.
Safety — please read this one
ForOps records safety procedures. It does not perform them, verify them, or make work safe. Where the software shows a lockout procedure, requires a photograph before a work order can be signed off, or marks a machine as isolated, it is recording what somebody told it. It cannot know whether energy was actually isolated, whether a guard was replaced, or whether a machine is genuinely safe to approach.
You remain fully responsible for the safety of your people and your equipment, for complying with every law and regulation that applies to you, and for your own inspections, training and permits. Never treat a screen in ForOps as evidence that a machine is safe. If the software and the machine disagree, believe the machine.
Your information
Everything you put into ForOps stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it for the purpose of running the service for you, and for nothing else — we do not sell it, share it for marketing, or use it to train machine-learning models. You can export a full copy at any time from inside the app. The Privacy Policy explains what we hold and for how long.
You are responsible for what you record: that you are allowed to hold it, and that it does not break the law or anyone else’s rights. That includes photographs taken in your workplace.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- try to reach another organisation’s information, or any part of the service you have not been given access to;
- probe, scan or test the security of the service without our written permission;
- upload malware, or content that is unlawful or infringes someone else’s rights;
- resell or rent access to the service, or copy it to build a competing product;
- use it in a way that degrades it for other customers.
Availability
We work to keep ForOps available and to keep your information safe, and we take regular backups. We do not promise a particular level of uptime. The service may be unavailable during maintenance, or because of a failure at one of our suppliers.
Keep your own records where the law requires it. ForOps is not a substitute for a statutory record you are obliged to hold independently.
Free and trial accounts
Where we provide ForOps free of charge, whether for a trial or a pilot, we provide it as it is. We may change or withdraw a free account at any time. We will give reasonable notice and an opportunity to export your information before doing so, except where we must act immediately.
No warranty
Except as these terms say, ForOps is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or free of defects, or that it will meet a particular requirement.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost revenue, or loss of data beyond our obligation to keep backups. Our total liability arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and where you pay us nothing, to one hundred US dollars.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
Ending the agreement
You may stop using ForOps and close your account whenever you like. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, or where we are required to. Export your information before you close an account: we delete an organisation’s records within 30 days of closure, other than anything we must keep by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and we will tell account administrators by email before a significant change takes effect. Continuing to use ForOps after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, and the courts there have exclusive jurisdiction.
